Child Abuse in Toronto

Toronto, ON(AP) – A seven-year old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible..
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Toronto Maple Leafs, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

I’m back!

Miss me? That’s what I thought. Domain server moved last weekend and I didn’t move with it.

Anyhow, I was talking to Jesus the other day:

Jesus: I have a hot date tonight.
Me: Really? Do you think you will get lucky?
Jesus: Are you kidding me? She will fuck anything that isn’t nailed down.

Golf and rugby rumoured for 2016 Olympics

The prospect of Tiger Woods competing for an Olympic gold medal could come closer to reality on Thursday.

Golf, along with rugby sevens, look to be the favourites among the sports being considered for inclusion in the 2016 Summer Games by the International Olympic Committee.

The IOC executive board will select two sports from a proposed list of seven, which also includes baseball, softball, squash, karate and roller sports. The 15-member board will submit two sports for ratification in a vote of the full 106-member IOC assembly in Copenhagen in October.

via CTV Olympics – Golf and rugby rumoured favourites for 2016.

I like the idea of Rugby in the Olympics, especially when considering that most of the international rugby players around the world could be categorized as amateur due to them not playing in professional leagues. I don’t like the idea of letting Tiger Woods and other pros in the Olympics the same way I disagree with NHL and NBA players being there. Soccer has some pro players playing but I think they have to be under 23… so really a few years away from their peak anyhow.

Baseball is looking to be reinstated. But I highly doubt some of the big name players will be able to get past the drug tests.

I have wanted karate to be there for some time, but from what I heard, it is difficult in the past to have the sporting event due to the numerous styles in the martial art. But apparently, the World Karate Federation has come up with some common rules that are applied to all styles so maybe even Russian and French judges won’t fuck it up.

Who are the worst tippers?

I recently stumbled across a post from The Friendly Atheist and it brought me back to my days as a waiter. Basically, the worst customers for tipping are Christians. Come to think of it, I probably hated serving Sunday brunch for that reason. All I can remember was service breakfast/lunch or brunch sucked because you basically had to serve more coffee, there were more plates because of the toast and it always took longer to clean up after customers left. I always attributed the lower tips to lower sales because breakfasts were only about $6 a person. So, even if you use a 10% rule, that’s only .60 cents a person.

Best tippers I can remember were gays and wives. Hubbies, if your wife is out with her lady friends and you are a shitty tipper… I can guarantee she is making up for your stinginess you cheap bastards!

NFL reinstates Michael Vick

This is a shocker **sarcasm** This guy runs into legal trouble for illegal dog fighting and the NFL and sponsors want nothing to do with this low life. He is now free and the NFL reinstates him. He is a free agent. I bet there is a shitload of teams that will go after this guy. I can already here the news conference… “he has paid his debt to society… blah… blah… blah…”

I can see the frenzy of teams now… but I wonder what sponsors will be willing to attach their name to him? Kimble n’ Bits… too soon?
