On the weekend, I picked up a Struxx model toy from Toys R Us. It was in the clearance bin for $15 regularly priced around $80-$90. Alexander had a Struxx model car/plane and we put it together a couple of times and it was fun. Alexander started helping me out with this 619 piece monster but he quickly faded about 1 hour into the project. Took me about 4.5 hours to put it together. Anyhow, I decided to make a time lapsed video of the project. Check it out.
The toy has a motion sensor and when you walk by it, it growls and makes laser sounds. It also swings his head back and forth and the jaw opens and closes. The thing stands almost 2′ high.

There was one more on the table, but it looked like it was missing the head piece which is the piece that controls all the motion.

We have it down stairs next to my desk right now. We are going to make some room in his bedroom.
