I was in the Dairy Queen with Alexander yesterday when Alexander pointed out a poster with kids on it and they were wearing safety goggles and holding beakers. Looked very scientific, kids science you could say. The name on the activity what “Power Lab.” Sounds scientific enough right? Alexander asked if he could attend, and I panned my eyes down to the location, Kings Valley Wesleyan Church. I replied to Alexander that I am sure it is not a science lab. He said, “but they have lab coats and it looks like science.” The sub title read “Discover the miraculous power of Jesus” or something like that. I scanned the poster again to see if there was anything that read “science” on it and couldn’t find anything. So, if people, by impulse, call up an get their kid registered, there could be some pissed off parents.
I think I will make up my own poster. It will have a guy that looks like Jesus, being friendly and helping kids, healing the sick. In big bold letters I will have “Discover the Healing Powers of Jesus” and in small fine print letters I will have “and other fairy tales from the bible.” I think my poster would be on the same level as the churches advertisement.
