Dumbasses!
Inmates escape, bring stolen goods back to jail, RCMP suspect
The RCMP say two inmates from Westmoreland Institution appear to have escaped, broken into a home in neighbouring Dorchester and returned to jail with the stolen property.RCMP Sgt. Terry Kennedy said a woman who owns a home within sight of the minimum security jail returned to her house at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday to find someone had broken in and stolen jewelry, money, alcohol and other household items with a total value of more than $5,000.
Too much. Reminds me of that Heritage Canada commercial where the first woman of parliament visits the institutions and proclaims “Is this normal!”… every time I see that I think “You’re the one we have to blame”.
I mean sure maybe if what that clip showed was happening it was a bit too far but the pendulum has swung too far the other way.
I mean I know its minimum security but for gods sake walking out of a prison and robbing someone and then going back to your cell with the “goods”. I remember when the people of Dorchester complained and Westmoreland had to put a fence up. IT WASN’T ALREADY THERE!?!?! Fenceless prisons… only in Canada.
It would shock the average Canadian to learn how “bad” and how “hard” inmates have it in our system. Soon inmates will probably be able to run for office and they’ll vote in a Prime Minister thats incarcerated. Rehabilitation – BAH.
My rant,
